Harrison, across the Passaic from Newark, has older two-family blocks and new rental buildings. Each needs its own plan.
Moving into a new building
New rental buildings run moves on a schedule. Follow these steps:
- Ask the leasing office for the rules: allowed days, hours, elevator and loading area.
- Ask what the COI must show. We issue it and send it with your contract, or directly to the leasing office on request.
- Book the elevator and loading area. Book early when many move in the same month.
- Send us your booking so we can time the drive to your slot’s start.
- On the day, bring your keys, fob and move-in approval.

Moving in or out of an older house
Harrison’s older blocks have two-family homes with steep stairs and cars parked on both sides. The plan covers where the truck stands, the steps, and what comes apart. A video estimate shows the street, front steps, and stairwell.
We take apart beds, tables, and wardrobes, then rebuild them at the new home. Packing is on request, for the whole home or just the fragile things.
Game days and event traffic
Harrison has a soccer stadium near the river, so parking gets busy on game days. Check the schedule before you pick a date, and tell us if yours falls on an event day. We can plan an earlier start or a different route.
Getting here
Our trucks start in Brooklyn. From Brooklyn or lower Manhattan, the usual way is the Holland Tunnel and then the highways west. From Midtown, the Lincoln Tunnel, the Turnpike and Route 280 can be shorter. Route 280 runs right past Harrison, which also makes it easy to head west toward the rest of New Jersey.
How pricing works: your rate and terms are in writing before moving day, and your final cost depends on how much you move. If you add items or services, we confirm the change in writing first.

- Neighbors from Kearny and Newark moving a mile or two.
- Renters who leave a new building for a house elsewhere in Hudson or Bergen County.

Do you work on weekends?
Yes. Check your building’s rules first; some allow move-ins only on certain days.
