A town between the river and the cliff
Edgewater is long and narrow. The Hudson runs along one side, the Palisades cliffs rise on the other, and River Road carries almost all the traffic in between. That shape decides how a move here works: one main road in and out, few side streets where a truck can wait, and steep roads up the cliff to the towns on top.
Our name comes from this stretch of waterfront, and the Hudson towns are the center of our work. We keep the facts plain, though. We have no location in Edgewater or anywhere else in New Jersey. Our trucks start in Brooklyn and come in for each job, so the drive across the river is part of every plan we write.
The homes we move here
Riverfront towers. Condos and rental high-rises along the water. Expect a loading dock or service entrance, a reserved elevator and a time slot set by management. Most of these buildings want a COI before the truck arrives. We issue it and send it with your contract.
Townhouses and low-rise complexes. Two or three levels inside the unit, a garage at street level and a shared drive. The inside stairs turn tightly, so beds, desks and big tables often come apart. We take them apart and put them back together.
Older houses near the cliff. A few short, steep streets climb toward the foot of the Palisades. A truck has little room to turn there. Show us the block on your video estimate so we know where the truck can stand.
Small jobs. A sofa to a unit in the same complex, a run to storage, a piano to a new floor. A small job gets a free written price like any other.
River Road and your moving day
Weekday mornings and evenings, River Road fills with commuters. On weekends, shoppers crowd the big stores along the road. A truck that must turn into a garage or a dock needs a clear lane and some patience. We plan for both.
- We ask for your building’s move window early and time the drive to arrive at its start.
- From Midtown or lower Manhattan, the truck usually comes through the Lincoln Tunnel. From upper Manhattan or the Bronx, it usually crosses the George Washington Bridge.
- The crew gets your dock or entrance details, the elevator booking and the name of the person at the front desk.
- If your building has no dock, we settle where the truck will stand before moving day, not on it.
How pricing works: your hourly rate and terms are in writing before moving day, and the total follows the actual hours. If you add items or services, we confirm the change in writing first.
Your Edgewater prep list
- Three weeks out, ask management for the move rules in writing: hours, elevator, dock and the exact names the COI must show. Forward them to us.
- Two weeks out, book the elevator for the agreed date. If you are moving between two buildings, book both.
- One week out, tell the front desk your date. Ask whether deliveries share the dock that morning.
- Two days out, set aside fobs, garage remotes, mailbox keys and parking stickers in one envelope.
- On the day, keep a clear path from your door to the elevator and pack a bag for the first night.
Typical Edgewater moves
- Manhattan to the waterfront. You keep the skyline and gain space. The building paperwork on both ends usually takes longer than the drive. Our Manhattan to Edgewater guide covers both ends.
- Up the hill to a house. A family outgrows the condo and moves to Fort Lee, Cliffside Park or further into Bergen County.
- Downsizing to one floor. A Bergen County house becomes a condo with an elevator. We pack, take furniture apart, and send what does not fit to short- or long-term storage in affiliated, clean, secure self-storage facilities.

Where do your crews come from?
From Brooklyn, NY. That is where our trucks start. We serve Edgewater and the other Hudson and Bergen County towns, and we do not keep an address in New Jersey.
My building wants a COI. Can you send it?
Yes. We issue the COI and send it with your contract. Most customers pass it to management. If you ask, we send it to the building directly.
Can you move me on a Saturday or a holiday?
Yes. Weekends and holidays cost nothing extra. Check your building first: some riverfront buildings allow moves only on certain days.
Can I talk to you in Russian?
Yes. Our phone is answered in English and Russian, and our crews speak both.
