Close to Manhattan, but not simple
The Lincoln Tunnel comes out in Weehawken. On a clear road, a move from Midtown is one of the shortest trips across the Hudson.
Two Weehawkens
Down by the river. Condos, offices and the ferry landing sit on flat land by the Hudson, usually with garages or docks and service elevators. Many ask for a COI. We issue it with your contract, or send it to management on request.
Up on the bluff. Rowhouses and two-family homes line narrow streets, and apartment buildings face Boulevard East. The views are wide and the stairs are tight.
Steep streets and public stairways connect the two levels. A loaded truck takes the long way on the main roads, and we plan that drive too.
A Midtown-to-Weehawken day, step by step
- Manhattan side. The crew reaches your building’s service entrance at the start of your elevator slot. Furniture that won’t fit comes apart first.
- Loading. Boxes and furniture go on the truck. Room labels speed the unload.
- The tunnel. We aim to cross outside peak hours. If your building allows moves only in a set window, we plan around it.
- Weehawken side. The truck goes to the dock or curb we agreed on. With an elevator slot, the drive is timed for it.
- Setup. Beds and tables go back together, and boxes go to their rooms.
