For a move today or tomorrow, call 1-800-598-4356. The phone is answered in English and Russian. We check right away whether a crew and a truck are free. Some days they are and some days they are not, and we tell you straight. We never promise a same-day move before we know we can do it.
Call as early in the day as you can. A morning call leaves the most room to find a crew, and gives your building time to approve the move.
The form works too, for a move a few days out: get a free written price.
What a same-day move looks like
A same-day move is a normal move on a short clock. It usually starts with a lease that ends early, a closing that moved, or a building that just opened an elevator slot. The crew still wraps furniture, takes apart what needs it and follows your building’s rules. What changes is the order: we agree the price in writing, the crew heads out from Brooklyn, and you use the drive time to finish packing and clear the path.
What we need to know on the call
- Both addresses, with floor and apartment numbers.
- Elevator or stairs at each end, and how close the truck can stop to each door.
- Roughly what is moving: the size of the home and large items like a piano or a sectional.
- Whether anything still needs packing.
- Your building’s rules: move hours, elevator booking and whether it needs a COI.
Your price is still in writing
A fast move does not mean a surprise bill. On a same-day move there is no day before, so you get the hourly rate and terms in writing before the crew starts. The total follows the actual hours. If you add items or services, we confirm the change in writing first. See how our prices work.
Building rules on short notice
This is where a last-minute move usually gets stuck. Many buildings need a Certificate of Insurance (COI) and a reserved elevator before movers can start. Call your building management right away and ask whether a move today is possible. We send the COI with the contract and can send it to the building on request, but the building decides how fast it approves it. Our high-rise moving page explains the rest.
How to pack in a hurry
- Start with the kitchen and the closets. They take the longest.
- Put soft things like bedding and clothes in bags, and save boxes for breakables.
- Keep documents, medicine, keys and chargers in one bag that stays with you.
- No time to pack? Ask for packing on the same call. If the crew has time, we pack part or all of the home.

Do weekends or holidays cost more?
No. Weekend and holiday moves cost no extra.
Can you move me across the Hudson on short notice?
If a crew is free, yes. Moves across the Hudson in both directions are the core of our work, and the written price comes before the crew starts.
My new place is not ready. Can you hold my things?
Yes. We offer short-term storage in affiliated self-storage facilities and deliver when you are ready.
