Two ways into Brooklyn
Leaving downtown, the Heights or Journal Square, the truck usually goes under the Hudson through the Holland Tunnel, crosses lower Manhattan and reaches Brooklyn through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel or over one of the East River bridges. Leaving Greenville, Bergen-Lafayette or the western side of the city for south Brooklyn, it often makes more sense to take the Bayonne Bridge to Staten Island and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge into Bay Ridge. What you leave in Jersey City
A downtown tower expects its move-out rules followed as closely as its move-in rules: a booked freight elevator, a dock slot and often a COI. We issue the COI and send it with your contract. Harsimus Cove and the Heights are rowhouse country: stoops, stairs and no elevator. Two-family houses further west mean inside stairs, a basement and a street to park on.
