Getting a truck to the bridge
A moving truck can’t use the Henry Hudson Parkway, so from Midtown it heads for the bridge or Lincoln Tunnel. Approaches back up at rush hour, so we plan the start time with care.
Co-op on both ends
Many buildings in upper Manhattan and on the Fort Lee cliff are co-ops, and each co-op adds a board. With a co-op at both ends, this order keeps the dates from colliding:
- As soon as you have a contract: ask both buildings for their rules in writing.
- After board approval: fix the moving date.
- Two to three weeks out: book both freight elevators and send us both COI requirements. We issue both COIs and send them with your contract.
- The week before: confirm the times with both front desks, and tell the Fort Lee building which entrance the crew will use.
- Moving day: we load in Manhattan, cross, and unload in the slot the Fort Lee building gave you.

If Fort Lee means a house

I live in Midtown. Will you still use the bridge?
Not always. From Midtown and below, the Lincoln Tunnel and a drive north is often the better choice at busy hours.
My Fort Lee co-op wants a weekday move. Is that a problem?
No. We move on any day your buildings allow: weekdays, weekends and holidays.
My closing is after my move-out. Where do my things go?
Into short- or long-term storage through affiliated, clean, secure self-storage facilities, then to Fort Lee on a scheduled date.
